Muskelschmalz ist für die Verleihung eines Preises nicht zwingend notwenig, trotzdem bringen die zwei aktuell angekündigten Laudatoren mehr als genug davon mit. Den Anfang macht Evil Jared, Bassist der legendären Bloodhound Gang. Jared ist ein wahrer Hühne, der als Game-Character wahrscheinlich einen furchterregenden Endgegner abgeben würde. Zusätzlich ist er ein Garant dafür, jede Party in Schwung zu bringen. Als bezaubernde aber keinesfalls ungefährliche Unterstützung steht ihm Susianna Kentikian zur Seite. Sie ist nicht nur Weltmeisterin im Fliegengewicht sondern laut dem Magazin "Box Sport" auch die schönste Boxerin Deutschlands.

Neben Hideo Kojima, Evil Jared und Susianna Kentikian sind auch Jade Raymond, Sido & B-Tight, Curse, Stefanie Kloß von Silbermond, David Garrett, Simon & Budi, Elton, die Donots, Farid und K.I.Z. als Laudatoren vor Ort. Für großartige Musik sorgen die deutsche Pop-Sensation Polarkreis 18, Rap-Star Sido und die irischen Rocker von The Script. Gehostet werden die MTV GAME AWARDS 2008 von den MTV Moderatoren Hadnet und Joko.

Mit Coca-Cola Zero, Nissan und Nokia sowie dem Medienpartner Computer Bild Spiele hat MTV zusätzlich vier starke Partner gewonnen, mit denen die MTV GAME AWARDS 2008 sicherlich zu einem unvergesslichen Ereignis werden.
