Electronic Arts hat für die Lebens-Simulation Die Sims 4 ein neues Update veröffentlicht. Neben einer Reihe von Fehlerbehebungen zählen zu den Änderungen des Updates auch eine Maus- und Tastatur Unterstützung für die Xbox One.
Weiterhin sind im Update neue Objekte enthalten sowie Bekleidung und Zubehör.

- Mouse & Keyboard support is available to all console players of The Sims 4. Simply connect your mouse & keyboard of choice and away you go.

General Issues
- Sims will no longer be able to lie about employing each other in order to avoid marriage.
- Fixed an issue where the Audio for the tutorial references skill levels for career progression.
- Fixed an issue where terrain manipulation might crash the game when players were manipulating to close to the edge…
- Fixed an issue where clicking various spots with terrain tools would cause an error.
- The scroll bar in text messages will no longer reset the text field back to the top.
- Fixed an error that would happen when adding an extended roof to the top of an object.
- Corrected texture issues for the solid blue pants.
- Corrected texture issues for rolled jean pants.
- Corrected shadows that were being added to clothes from a few necklaces.
- Fixed and error when players would switch between children that were created through genetics.
- Fixed a few instances where terrain paint would not correct clear when using the bulldoze option in Build.
- Fixed an error when trying to place a Nightclub on a lot that is smaller than the lot that is provided.
- The Millie Bobby Brown Sim didn’t know what to wear to attend parties, so we helped her pick out a new outfit.
- Fixed an error when trying to exit the pool in First Person Camera.
- Thanks to all the feedback, we have added more ways to customize controls while in 1st Person Mode which you can find under Game Options > Game Camera.
- 1st Person Mode should no longer terrify you with Sims that have missing heads.
- Playing basketball on the Skye Fitness lot while in 1st Person Mode won’t require you to restart The Sims 4, so no more excuses for missing that 3 pointer.
- Adjusting light intensity on items near the top of the lot will not cause the panel to display off screen.
Get Together
- Listening to music on the Lin-Z Smart Speaker will now count towards the Listen to Music club rule.
Seasons
- Leaf Piles should no longer become stuck in neighborhoods; they should automatically get cleaned up at the start of each winter season.
- Fixed a clipping issue that occurred when wearing the toddler’s rain boots with certain pairs of pants.
- Fixed two toddler hats which were causing unintended shadows to appear on the toddler’s eyes.
Get Famous
- Fixed a text issue in the 24 hour live stream buff. Please excuse any technical difficulties the stream will be back up shortly.
- Your Sims acting agent will no longer give you false pay information when completing a gig. Those agents are always trying to skim a little off the top.
- Fixed a texture issue with the SciFi Helmet and Straight Skirt.
- Corrected placeholder text on the Celebrity Home lot Moodlet.
- Fixed an issue that prevented Sims from staying longer on a gig to practice their acting skills.
- Corrected text issue in the Charity Stream Moodlet.
- Fixed floating Sims while wearing one of the high skirts.
- Corrected Text issue in the Tiresome Energies buff from the Crystal Healing Helmet
- Fixed an error when placing Luminary’s Exotic Water Garden on a bulldozed lot.
Outdoor Retreat
- Your Sims can now pester… er… visit, any campers of their choosing in Granite Falls.
- Fixed an error where Sims would get stuck in the Forest Hideaway lot in Granite Falls.
Vampires
- Corrected texture issue on Buttoned Pants.
Of course, we have added a whole lot of community creations into My Library as well as brought over some familiar faces from past Sims titles like The Newbie Family and The Grunt Family.

Praktisch. Bei kompetitiven Onlinegames sind Maus und Tastatur vielleicht immer noch ein kritisches Thema, aber für solche Spiele bietet es sich echt an.
Find ich super, aber ob ich da noch wechseln will? Geht mir Controller eigentlich gut von der Hand und es ist ja kein Strategie Spiel wo jede Sekunde zählt. Mal davon abgesehen dass man pausieren kann.
Aber ich hoffe dass durch diesen Support endlich mehr Strategie Spiele oder Survival Games den Weg auf Konsole finden. Hab zwar nen Pc, aber mehr Bock an der Konsole zu sitzen.
Ich denke, das wäre ein zweischneidiges Schwert. Die Steuerung auf Konsolen muss weiterhin in erster Linie auf einen Controller ausgelegt sein. Bringt man dann ein Spiel mit bescheidener Controller-Steuerung raus und ruht sich auf dem Argument aus, dass man ja auch mit Maus und Tastatur spielen kann, macht man sich wohl nicht sehr beliebt.
Wenn der fehlende Support also bisher ein Hindernis war, ist das jetzt noch lange nicht einfach hinfällig.
Und zum Pausieren: Ohne schon mal ein Spiel an der Xbox mit Tastatur gespielt zu haben, würde ich spontan ESC drücken. Vielleicht läuft das ja so.
Hoffe auch, dass immer mehr Strategiespiele auf die Xbox kommen. Civ VI, Anno es wäre eine Traum. Immerhin kommt Fristpunk demnächst. Da haben sie auch eine Controller-Steuerung gebastelt, ich hoffe allerdings auch auf M&T Support.
Ich hatte es mal kurz angespielt und bei dem Teil wirkte die Steuerung mit Pad irgendwie etwas daneben…ich meine sie hätten das damals auf der ersten XBox ein bisschen besser hinbekommen,also hab ich es ziemlich fix wieder deinstalliert.
Darauf hatte ich gewartet! Hab dann gestern Abend direkt mit Sims angefangen und richtig Zeit reinversetzt. Die M&T Steuerung ist super und man kann jederzeit den Controller in die Hand nehmen und den benutzen, ist echt sehr gut gemacht.
Interessanter Weise gibt es die Unterstützung auch für die PS4, keine Ahnung, wie die das da umgesetzt haben.
wahrscheinlich, weils auf ps4 … und auch schon auf ps3 maus/keyboard support seit beginn an gab 😉 – es wurde nur bisher sehr selten genutzt. mir fallen auf der ps4 als spiele eigentlich nur fortnite und final fantasy online ein, die maus/keyboard support bieten
Kann man eigentlich jede USB Tastatur & Maus an die Xbox hängen?? Wäre echt fein mal wieder einen Strategie Titel zu zocken. Sims ist nicht so meines.
Ja,auch kabellos ists kein Problem.
Ich habe eine Logitech Anywhere Maus dran und eine Logitech K360 Tastatur (beides vorher über windows mit der Unifying Software auf ein Stick gekopppelt) Stick rein und Zack geht beides (getestet bei Metro Exodus , Sims 2 habe ich nicht)
Hab das spiel vorhin im sale gesehen… mir 2/5 sternen xD der support kam bestimmt nicht freiwillig. Hab auch schon überlegt ob ich nochmal bock habe auf sims. Der erste hat mir echt spaß gemacht. Teil 2 wiederrum nicht da es mich genervt hatte wie schnell mein ebenbild altert und stirbt…. der sinn von sims war in meinen augen mich zu spielen und nicht meine nachkommen und freunde und co…

Habe schon diverse Male überlegt mir Sims 4 zu holen. Aber da eigentlich bei fast allen Tests die Steuerung mit dem Controller bemängelt wurde, habe ich bislang darauf verzichtet. Vielleicht jetzt mal eine Überlegung wert…
bei Sims kam ichc mit der Controller Steuerung weniger gut klar, find ich super M&T. Werde mir die dann wohl auch mal anschaffen, lohnt sich ja mittlerweile
