Aus Solidarität und Rücksicht auf die Vorkommnisse rund um den durch einen Polizisten gewaltsam herbeigeführten Tod des Afroamerikaners „George Floyd“ haben unzählige Videospielhersteller, Entwickler und Unternehmen ihre geplanten Events abgesagt.
So sagte EA Sports seine für den 1. Juni geplante offizielle Bekanntgabe von Madden NFL 21 ab. Ob und wann die Bekanntgabe nachgeholt wird, ist bisher noch unklar. Ebenso verschob Activision den Start der neuen Season in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare und auch der von Sony angedachte, 60-minütigen PlayStation 5 Event wird nicht stattfinden.
Darüber hinaus haben etliche weitere Studios und Unternehmen wie Xbox, Bethesda, Amazon, Gearbox, Riot Games, Activision Blizzard und viele mehr ebenfalls reagiert und auf Twitter Erklärungen gegen Rassismus abgegeben.

Nur leider wird es Rassismus immer geben. Was Gaming Unternehmen machen, finde ich absolut richtig.
Ja, vorallem wenn man davor resigniert und den Arsch nicht hoch bekommt. Das ist nichts was man in ein paar Jahren löst, denn dazu müssen Generationen anders erzogen werden aber es deswegen überhaupt nicht anzufangen ist auch keine Lösung
Dieses Black Lives Matter Gesülze geht mir schon seit Jahren auf den Sack und ist einfach nur lächerlich.
Die erste Welt hält Afrika usw. schon immer arm, beutet selten Ressourcen aus und spielt sich dann auf, wenn eine Verhaftung schief läuft, bei der ein Schwarzer stirbt. Mehr Heuchelei geht nicht!!
Wenn sich bei Foxconn reihenweise Chinesen vom Dach stürzen, weil die Arbeitsbedingungen so erbärmlich sind und sie im akkord Xbox/Playstation-Konsolen usw. produzieren, wird auch nicht so ein Aufschrei gemacht. Das passt aber leider nicht so gut ins Image, als BLM zu texten?
