Der Vorgänger stellt das bislang am besten bewertete NARUTO-Videospiel überhaupt dar und NARUTO: THE BROKEN BOND wird noch eines draufsetzen. Die Handlung des Spiels knüpft an das Ende von Rise of a Ninja an: Nach dem Angriff der Sound-Ninjas auf Narutos Heimatdorf Konoha liegt vieles in Schutt und Asche. Schlimmer aber ist der Verlust des Hokages der dritten Generation. Um das Dorf wieder neu aufleben zulassen, muss also ein neuer Anführer her. Also macht sich Naruto auf, den mysteriösen Hokage der fünften Generation ausfindig zu machen. Währenddessen steigt in Narutos besten Freund und Rivalen Sasuke die Eifersucht. Warum konnte er Konoha nicht verteidigen, warum ist der einst bei den Leuten so verhasste Naruto auf einmal wieder so beliebt? Fragen, die NARUTO: THE BROKEN BOND beantworten wird.

Ubisoft veröffentlichte nun ein umfangreiches Assets-Paket zum Spiel. Dieses beinhaltet neben zahlreichen neuen Screenshots und einem neuen Trailer ein Q&A mit Masao Kobayashi, Game Designer und eine Biografie zu Sasuke.

Sasuke is both Naruto’s  rival, and his best friend. While the two often compete against one another, Sasuke has always been the more naturally talented of the two, and is hailed as one of the best ninja of his generation. Recently, however, Naruto’s been getting better and better – maybe even better than Sasuke. Can it be that the former screwup is really getting better? Or is it just that Sasuke is getting weaker?

Sasuke doesn’t know, but he does know that he can’t afford to just stand and watch while Naruto outshines him. He has his own reasons for wanting to get stronger. He’s after revenge and he’s willing to do just about anything to get it. When Sasuke’s hatred starts to consume him – even his friendship with Naruto may not be enough to save him.

1. Exactly what point in the game do you begin playing sasuke?
In the first mission of the game you play with Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura.
The first Sasuke only mission is about 90 min into the game.
This mission is where Sasuke chases after Naruto because he hears that Itachi was after him. We wanted to show the bond and friendship of Naruto and Sasuke before they grow apart.

2. What kind of missions does he have?
The solo Sasuke missions are all directly taken from the show.
The missions are there to let the player know what Sasuke is thinking and why he chooses to leave the village.  The Sasuke missions are very different then the rest of the game.  The plot as well as the art direction is darker, and centered around Sasuke’s internal conflicts rather then interaction with other characters.

3. Will his missions take place in the Village Hidden in the Leaves?
He will have missions both in and out of the village in the leaves.

4. Can you give us a brief explanation of what his moves do in the game?
Phoenix Flower Jutsu, Chidori, and Sharingan (LCG stands for limited control gameplay and means that there is a minigame associated to using the jutsu.)
Phoenix Flower Jutsu:  LCG jutsu that allows the character to deal a devastating damage to the opponent by hitting them with number of fire balls.
Chidori: LCG jutsu that allows the character to deal a devastating damage to the opponent by hitting them with concentrated chakra.
Sharingan: A real time jutsu that allows the character to auto guard Taijutsu.

5. How will playing Sasuke be different from Naruto, does he have moves that will enable players to reach certain areas or go places Naruto can not go?
Sasuke will have unique abilities that allows the player to access new areas.
He will also have a different style of fighting.  While Naruto has team mates to back him up, sasuke will fight alone with the help of his Curse Seal.  The animation for Sasuke will also be completely different to fit his persona.

6. How much of the game is played as Sasuke?
15% of the game is played as Sasuke.
If you include missions where Sasuke is part of the team it around 20~25%.
