Seit Halo 2 feiern die Medaillen im Multiplayer besondere Errungenschaften oder Ereignisse. Während bei Halo 5: Guardians alte Medaillen ein frisches Design spendiert bekommen haben, sind auch zahlreiche neue Auszeichnungen hinzugekommen.
Bei Warzone steigert jede Medaille euer Level auf dem Schlachtfeld, um mit den nötigen REQ-Punkten im weiteren Spielverlauf die großen Waffen und Fahrzeuge freizuschalten.
Bei der Aufmachung der Awards hat 343 Industries sichergestellt, dass ihr sofort im Symbol sehen könnt, ob die Auszeichnung weitere Auswirkungen auf euer Level hat oder welches besondere Ereignis gerade ausgezeichnet wurde. Dabei hat jeder Modus sein eigenes Medaillen-Design. Somit hat jeder Award in jedem Modus sein eigenes Symbol:
- Multi-Kills (Double Kill)
- Killing Sprees (Killing Spree)
- Melee Kills (Assassination, Gunpunch)
- Perfect Kills (Killing an opponent with maximum efficiency)
- Game Mode (different for each mode)
- Vehicle (Hijack, Vehicle Destroyed)
- Long Distance (Rocket Mary)
- Assisted Kills (EMP Assist, Protector)
- Advanced Kills (Quickdraw)
- Enemy State Kills (Bulltrue)
