Wer im Xbox Insider Programm und bereits bis zum Alpha-Ring aufgestiegen ist, der kann ab sofort zwei neue Features testen. Mit dabei ist eine zeitliche Änderung des Dashboard-Themes. Ihr bestimmt dabei, ab welcher Uhrzeit die Xbox One von einem hellen zu einem dunklen (oder umgekehrt) Theme wechseln soll.
Darüber hinaus gibt es im Guide einen neuen Button. Dieser überrascht euch mit einem zufällig verfügbaren Spiel im Xbox Game Pass Abonnement. Alle Details zum Alpha Update gibt es hier:

HOW TO GET IT: • If your console is in Instant-On mode and you have been selected to receive the update, it will download and install the update and reboot to standby.
- NOTE: Once the update is available to you, you can manually begin the update by launching the Guide and navigating to All Settings > System > Updates.
- If your console hasn’t downloaded and installed the update by 1:00 AM PST 1/15/2018 (9:00AM GMT 15/1), you will be prompted to do so at that time.

NEW FEATURES:
- Scheduled Themes
You asked—we listened! We’re excited to announce that we’ve added the ability to put your themes on a schedule. In addition to choosing either the light or dark theme, you can now schedule a time to automatically switch between them. Simply follow these steps:
- Navigate to Settings > Personalization > Theme & motion.
- Select Scheduled from the „System theme“ dropdown.
- Select the times at which you want the light theme to start and end.
- Guide Enhancements
A new icon will appear in the Guide. The Guide Game Pass Discovery Tile (the “Surprise me with a random Game Pass Game tile”), now shows in Guide.
FIXES:
- Screenshots
Fixed an issue which sometimes caused screenshots to fail to display in Report a problem or on the console.
- Party Chat
Party chat is now fixed to not crash when in the Guide.
KNOWN ISSUES:
- My Games and Apps
When downloading and installing games the progress bar and the percentage complete are not in sync and show inaccurate data. The games and apps do install correctly.
- Background Screenshots
Background screenshots are showing up as 4:3 format rather than 16:9
- Guide/Home crashing
We are aware of the Guide and Home crashing and determined the root cause. A fix is being worked on. Workaround: In the interim please HARD Reboot (Hold the power button for ten seconds)the console to fix this issue.
- System Update
You may encounter an E105 error when the console starts up after downloading the system update. Workaround: Select the Repair option, and the issue should resolve after rebooting the console.
- Games Installation
Games that are installed fail to launch. Workaround: If the games are installed to an external drive please copy the game to the internal drive or attempt to delete the title and redownload to fix the launch error.
- Display
We are investigating the inaccurate RGB colors that have been reported when displaying in 4K HDR mode when playing a UHD disc.
- Tournaments
- The left and right navigation for selecting date and time during Tournament creation is currently reversed when the console language is set to Arabic or Hebrew.
- Left and right navigation in Tournament twists is reversed when the console language is set to Arabic or Hebrew.
- Left and right navigation in the bracket view of Tournaments is reversed when the console language is set to Arabic or Hebrew
- Avatars on Home
Users wishing to represent themselves as an avatar can do so by changing their settings under My profile > Customize profile > Show my avatar.

Also das mit dem Zeitplan, zu welcher Uhrzeit die Konsole das dark und zu welcher das light theme darstellt, klingt ganz nice…
…aber wenn das so ohne Weiteres funktioniert, warum nicht auch gleich ein Update nachliefern, das uns die Zeitspanne festlegen lässt, in der die Konsole Downloads zieht?

Das mit den Downloads wäre wirklich praktisch, vor allem für Konsolenupdates, die man dann über Nacht ziehen könnte z.B.
Ganz genau. Denn wenn man gerade mal nicht an der One ist, heißt das ja noch lange nicht, dass man selbst oder andere zur Zeit keine Bandbreite im Haushalt brauchen. Wenn ich auf der 360 Sky Go schaue (das funktioniert übrigens nach wie vor) und meine One im Hintergrund einen Download laufen lässt, merke ich das schon spürbar.
Ich fände es toll, wenn meine Konsole auch ohne instant on mode downloads beenden würde, bevor sie ausgeht. Aber die leute wollen ja lieber zeiten für ihre backgrounds … oh man
Zumal das m. E. auf der Xbox 360 schon so funktioniert hat. Fänd ich also auch nicht schlecht.

Das gin in der Anfangszeit der One auch. Versteht man leider nicht, warum das geändert wurde. Aber ja…Da hat man die Konsole ausgemacht, und der Download lief (auch ohne Instant On) einfach weiter. Erkannte man daran, dass das Licht am Power-Knopf immer an und aus ging.

Nein geht nicht mehr und ehrlich wüsste ich auch nicht, das dis schonmal auf der One ging, aber wer weiß. Das wäre jedenfalls mein Most Favorite. Hab kein Bock auf instant on.
Hatte bereits die features schon im ersten Update letzte Woche. Aber eben wieder in Hieroglyphen Schrift. Hoffe das mit dem neuen Update die Schrift wieder angepasst wird.
Das die One zur Anfangszeit Konsolen Updates geladen hat ist auch Quatsch.
Das das Logo an ging hatte mit den Spieleupdates zutun und nicht mit Konsolen Updates.
Colton hat davon gesprochen, dass die Box den angefangenen Download trotz Befehls „Ausschalten“ fertig lädt und danach von alleine runterfährt. Und das hat die Box schlicht gemacht.
Sorry – aber ich weiss sehr wohl, wovon ich da rede, schliesslich hatte alleine Forza 5 ein 6GB Day 1 Update und ich zu dem Zeitpunkt eine 50MBit-Leitung.
Und – wer lesen kann ist klar im Vorteil – von System-Updates war da nie die Rede.
